Video game articles

The first article I choose as listed above deals with the less common side of video games, that is, that they can actually as the article states "save society". The topic that I would like to discuss is the articles criticism of our current educational system and the simply out of state nature with that of culture and other mediums of learning. The idea that our government and the military particularly can use video games to draw ones attention is a work of art. The most beauteous point made in the article is the aspect for a game to consume and completely immerse attention of the gamer. If it were possible to have a considerable amount of video games that were educational then I believe the huge learning curve that exists in America and throughout the world could be largely diminished. That in itself is a awesome thing that could help save America from its diminishing educational value abroad. However the incentive and the lack of desire for change with older people who are foreigners too many of the technological advances I see there being very little n the way of progress toward actually completing such a thing.

The second article listed above presents a more grim but not irrational outlook on video games. The common belief that watching violence in movies but also more so in video games is destructive very probable. The amazing extension from your violence in movies or on TV is that the gamer is immersed in the game. Every detail the gore and violence and action. I think that the writer did a very well job indeed of explaining that the link between virtual and actual violence is hard to nail. There are so many people who play video games that it is impossible nearly to show a statistical trend when so many outliers exist. It is the parents who let video games become the God or parent of the child that are mostly to blame. And yet it is so easy can we even blame them when so many of us would do anything upon raising kids to have a time to relax? As some of the authors quotations do explain who to blame relays little on the video game probable, however the biological actions of the brain are hard evidence that violence inparticular releases something different on the human psyche.

thank you and goodnight
