Comparison

I completed an examination of both Darfur is Dying as well as Activism the public policy game. Both of these games I would personally label as Persuasive games. The concept put forth in Activism is that major crisis in America that need to be dealt with. By playing this game and individual has to find a balance because all six screens are going at once all needing very different tasks done. The objective of this game is to show not only the complexity of handling so many things at once, but also to define what the issue are in the mind of the player. This game was created by the democratic party and therefore tries to divert the minds of the more moderate voter away from polar issues that would normally alienate them from the party ( such as abortion, gay marriage, church and state, et cetera). Brilliant is the fact that because there are so many things going on at once your mind tends to not wander to think of other issue that you feel define Americas problem or politics. Darfur is Dying involves much or information for the point of social change than actually gaming. You simply run trying to avoid being captured if you are they give you gory information on what type of thing would happen to you if you were really in Darfur. The same applies at the village, nothing actually to do in the village but everywhere you move your mouse is another place to shock your rhetorical triangle. The basic premise therefore is to divert one to social action that may very well overflow itself into the political realm.
